Intelligent Boiler Technology (IBT) takes dry vapor steam generators to the next level in reliability and output performance. The IBT system monitors your steam generator so you don’t have to! This patented design tells you when and if your boiler needs maintenance; when it is low on water, IBT makes the descaling process so simple that the operator can do it unassisted.
Most issues with standard steamers occur during the descaling process – specifically when the process is never started! This leads to poor performance as steam volumes drop and only hot water is dispensed instead of steam. Left in this condition, the boiler coils begin to deteriorate, and a very expensive repair ensues. IBT resolves this issue and makes the Peregrine Series easy-to-use and trouble-free.
IBT uses a special removable boiler sensor that allows you to access the boiler for maintenance without tools when any maintenance is required. The IBT sensor constantly communicates with the control board to monitor the state of scaling and water levels. When the boiler needs to be descaled (a normal process for steamers), the machine sets off an alarm and the LCD display indicates that it requires cleaning. The sensor, drain, and boiler designs make this process quick, easy, and able to be performed by the operator. IBT boilers use a state-of-the-art coil heating system that provides 4 to 8 times the heating surface area of comparable steamers.
When choosing a steam generator, the end user needs a unit that provides a consistent supply of high-quality, culinary-grade dry vapor steam. Many units simply are not up to the task and begin to suffer a significant drop in performance. With its superior construction and integration with the IBT, the Peregrine Series outperforms and outlasts competitors. Performance testing shows that these units provide over twice as much steam (measured in pounds/hour) as other competitive units.
